Position Overview

Antidote Health is seeking a Georgia-based Primary Care Physician to serve as a collaborating/delegating physician for Antidote nurse practitioners. This part-time/PRN collaboration role includes clinical consultation, Georgia Nurse Protocol Agreement oversight, chart review, prescribing oversight, complex case review, quality oversight, and clinical support. This position is focused on physician collaboration and oversight and does not include a routine direct patient care panel.

The physician will provide primary care expertise to support Antidote's telehealth, quality, utilization management, and clinical oversight programs, including consultation on complex medical cases, prescribing, escalation pathways, and clinical standards. This role requires an active, unrestricted Georgia medical license and the ability to meet Georgia requirements for a collaborating/delegating physician.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Georgia Nurse Protocol Agreements with eligible Antidote nurse practitioners.
• Provide timely medical consultation and clinical guidance for NP questions, case escalations, and complex patient needs.
• Be available by phone or secure electronic communication for consultation in accordance with Georgia requirements and Antidote policy.
• Review patient charts and clinical documentation as required by state regulations, protocol agreements, and organizational policy.
• Provide oversight of prescribing practices, including controlled substances when applicable and authorized under the protocol agreement.
• Support clinical protocol development, quality assurance, credentialing, compliance, and regulatory activities related to collaborative practice.
• Attend and participate in Antidote's Quality Committee and contribute primary care physician expertise to quality improvement activities, including review of clinical trends, quality measures, complaints, adverse events, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in complex medical case review and provide physician-level consultation for high-risk, clinically complex, safety-related, or escalated cases as needed.
• Support Antidote's Utilization Management (UM) Program as needed by providing physician subject-matter expertise for clinical criteria, policies, complex case review, program evaluation, appeals, and other physician input consistent with applicable role requirements.
• Support NCQA accreditation and ongoing compliance activities involving clinical program oversight, quality improvement, and documentation of physician involvement as applicable.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with organizational, NCQA, CMS, state, and federal requirements.
• Provide physician input, as needed, on documentation standards, risk adjustment, HEDIS quality gap closure, and clinical follow-up processes relevant to collaborative practice and quality oversight.

Qualifications

Required:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in Georgia.
• Principal place of practice in Georgia, or otherwise compliant with Georgia requirements for a delegating physician under a Nurse Protocol Agreement.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or another primary care-related specialty.
• Experience in telehealth, managed care, population health, or integrated delivery systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care.
• Knowledge of risk adjustment coding, HCC/RAF documentation, and HEDIS quality measures.
• Willingness and ability to enter into Georgia Nurse Protocol Agreements with Antidote nurse practitioners.
• Strong clinical experience diagnosing and managing common acute, preventive, and chronic primary care conditions, sufficient to provide consultation and oversight to collaborating nurse practitioners.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
• Reliable internet connection and private workspace suitable for confidential telehealth care.

Preferred:

• Experience serving as a collaborating, supervising, or delegating physician for nurse practitioners or physician assistants.
• Experience with or strong familiarity with NCQA standards, accreditation requirements, and quality improvement programs.
• Active, unrestricted license in Ohio, Arizona, Texas, Florida, or New York.
• DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances, if applicable to the role and protocol agreement.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly collaboration stipend: $450 per actively assigned NP.
• Stipend covers the collaboration, consultation, chart review, Quality Committee, complex case review, UM support, and related oversight responsibilities described in this role.
