Position Overview
The Head of Telehealth Operations is a strategic practice leader responsible for assessing, designing, and advancing Antidote Health’s virtual care delivery model. This individual will identify structural, operational, technology, and member-access barriers; translate findings into a prioritized transformation roadmap; and lead measurable improvements that position Antidote as a scalable, digital-first payer-provider.
The role owns the operational strategy and execution for virtual primary care and behavioral health, connecting care delivery with health plan goals for access, member engagement, preventive care, quality, risk adjustment, and affordability. The leader partners closely with ClinicalLeadership, Product, Technology, Population Health, Quality, Member Experience, and Finance to redesign how members access and receive care while preserving clinical quality and appropriate clinical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the end-to-end telehealth practice, including member access, scheduling, provider workflows, staffing, clinical support, technology, data, and handoffs; identify root causes of performance gaps and barriers to care.
- Define and execute a multi-year virtual care operating strategy and phased improvement roadmap, with clear priorities, owners, milestones, investments, and measurable outcomes.
- Design a scalable, digitally enabled practice model that integrates virtual primary care and behavioral health with health plan benefits, care management, quality initiatives, and the broader member journey.
- Build and optimize provider capacity, care team design, scheduling templates, visit modalities, and workforce models based on demand, acuity, appointment mix, service standards, and growth.
- Establish performance management and accountability across provider productivity, appointment utilization, access, completed visits, member experience, clinical follow-through, and cost efficiency; use data to drive course correction.
- Identify friction across the digital member journey, from outreach and booking through intake, visits, follow-up, referrals, and gap closure; partner across teams to remove barriers and improve conversion and continuity.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and clinical informatics to shape digital capabilities, including EMR and scheduling workflows, automation, analytics, and appropriate AI-enabled tools; validate adoption and value after implementation.
- Translate population health, quality, and health plan priorities into actionable practice workflows supporting preventive services, chronic condition management, care-gap closure, risk adjustment documentation, and appropriate site-of-care navigation.
- Lead change management and operational execution across distributed clinicians, supervisors, and support teams, establishing clear decision rights, standard work, training, and sustainable accountability.
- Develop business cases and resource plans that balance access, quality, growth, member engagement, staffing investments, and total cost of care; monitor results and adjust investments accordingly.
- Partner with the Chief Medical Officer and clinical leaders on service standards, clinical governance interfaces, scope-of-practice escalation, and patient safety while maintaining clear ownership of practice operations.
- Present assessments, recommended strategic choices, delivery risks, and progress to executive leadership; drive cross-functional decisions and remove implementation obstacles.
