Getting Appointed
Brokers can request appointment through their agency or by submitting a completed appointment form via our website. Once submitted, our team will send you further information.
Most appointments are processed within 3–5 business days, assuming all documents are complete and up to date. You will receive an email from the Miramar:Agent system when you are "Ready to Sell", which will indicate which products you are appointed to sell. Please note that some states may take longer than others.
You’ll need:
- A valid state health insurance license
- W‑9 (if you're getting appointed as an independent agent)
- Proof of E&O coverage
- Completed broker agreement
- Any state‑specific appointment forms required
- FFM certification (if you're getting appointed for on-exchange products)
Yes. You will receive email communication from us letting you know that it's time to log in to the Miramar:Agent system to complete recertification for the next Plan Year. Please note that we may invite you to begin the process before the FFM Certification is available and you will be "pending" until the FFM Certification is complete.
