Position Overview
We are looking for driven, curious people who like to learn whatever necessary to create new features, who want to make an impact and be a part of a high paced development team. Our stack consists of Python, React, Redux, React Native, GCP (GoogleCloud Platform) and more, but what matters most is attitude – if you lovecreating new features, care about building an excellent product that gives goodservice to people and you are willing to learn whatever necessary to do so –you belong with us.
Key Responsibilities
- This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll split your time roughly 50/50 between people management and technical execution (writing code, owning architecture, being in the weeds).
- Hire, manage, and grow a team of DevOps/SRE engineers, focusing on their performance, career development, and day-to-day wellbeing.
- Lead the technical vision and roadmap for the Internal DeveloperPlatform, working closely with engineering leadership to prioritize and sequence platform investments
- Drive architectural decisions for platform primitives — evaluate trade-offs and build consensus across engineering teams
- Build and maintain an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) —self-service workflows for provisioning, deploying, and operating services
- Mentor and grow platform engineers — pair programming, code reviews, and shaping engineering culture
- Own reliability standards: define SLOs, lead blameless postmortems, and drive systemic improvements
- Manage the Kubernetes (GKE) control plane and cluster-level primitives
- Own infrastructure-as-code standards (Terraform, Helm) and enforce GitOps practices across the org
- Build and maintain the observability platform — structured logging, metrics pipelines, alerting, and SLOs
- Manage AI data infrastructure: pipelines and embedding stores as infrastructure services
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years across engineering, platform, SRE, or infrastructure roles, including 4+ years managing engineering teams
- Strong Kubernetes expertise — cluster administration, operators, admission controllers, networking
- Experience building developer tooling or internal platforms(CLIs, service catalogs, self-service portals)
- Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform; GitOps with ArgoCD orFlux
- Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and how to design pipelines as a platform primitive
- Proficiency with GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Vertex AI, IAM, VPC,Secret Manager)
- Software engineering skills in Go, Python, or TypeScript —platform work requires writing real code
Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment (HIPAA,SOC2)
- On-call leadership and incident command experience
